14th birthday: 31 March 2015
“Every year on your birthday, you get a chance to
start new.”
The title says it all. I turned 14 on 31 March 2015. Alhamdulillah(thank
God), a new age.

| Woke up from my sleep with messages by all different type of social medias from all different type of people- even the ones that I don’t know. |
That is when I knew my day couldn’t get any better.
Training
ended earlier for me as 2 of my primary school close friends, Elyza &
Aqilah wanted to meet me. Rushed all the way from Bishan to Jurong East to try
not to be late but I ended up being early and Elyza was late. And afterwards,
Aqilah told me that she couldn’t make it so I was extremely disappointed
because I wanted to meet both of them. So we kinda walked around JEM. Literally
walked, doing nothing. Then my mom texted me to come home so it was a short
meet up with Elyza. Elyza then told me that she wanted to drop me off at by
doorsteps but I didn’t want her to do so because she has to travel extra miles
but she insisted so I asked permission from my Mom if Elyza can have dinner
together with us and she didn’t mind so I was ok with it. When I was in front
of my doorstep, I saw my sister holding a Yankee Candle(our inside joke). Went in the house and it was dark, all I could see is a table lighted up with different types
of candles, from the Twelve Cupcakes and just normal candle. You didn’t know
how blessed I felt at that time to know that my family members had to put in a
lot of effort to do so. Such a beautiful surprise. Wait, the surprise does not
end here. Aqilah then popped out of nowhere so I was shocked, very shocked. Now
it all made sense, they planned it. Aqilah cooked spaghetti for dinner, my
sister got cupcakes and Elyza was there to like distract me.

| Before training starts, one of my teammate bought my favourite frappe- Chocolate Chip Frappe from Starbucks and I was extremely happy till I actually washed the cup and kept it. The fact that she travelled all the way from school to get me that, it’s something you know not everyone will do. Thank you so much, Dina. |
